This is a good all around grapling hook. It's strong and fully functional. Just be careful while using it.

This is a nice grappling hook, and the folding feature is nice. The rope is a bit thin, so I suggest either putting knots in it, or getting a thicker rope. However, it is an excellent grappling hook for the price. I would like to see a version with rubberized claws, but still good. Be careful using it; climbing can be dangerous.

After buying the grapling hook I was questionable as to if it would work or not. But after getting it I have found it works rather well. The hooks can support a large amount of weight. It is also a reasonable price. But remember climbing is dangerous.

It is very strong and the folding feature is awesome. The rope is a little slippery but still works. And yah, yah climbing is damgerous but, just go out and have fun with it.

When I first picked up the box I could feel a good weight to the item. Inside the hook itself is loose (folded) and the rope is coiled. I really liked the folding feature, you just spin the hook until tight. The black paint is a nice touch, but it rubs away quicky. The one thing I didn't really like is that the rope wasn't already knotted to the hook, but I found a secure enough knot to hold some weight. So if you enjoy climbing, ninjas, or burgl- er, buying hooks, you'll love this item.

I finally got this thing and just like the other stuff I bought, when I got it I couldn't remember why i complained so much when it wasn't coming. It came real nice and was not damaged at all. This works so well. You get this baby in a tree and wham it is gonna hold you all day. The bad thing is though the rope hurts somewhat on your hands when you are hanging on it. That's why you need good clothes and especially gloves. With that though you are set.

I had this hook for many years before I gave it to my cousin. The hook is well designed for maximum performance. It is the perfect size to catch on any material, and its folding feather makes it easy to transport. The rope, however, is made of a synthetic material which is difficult to grip. Also, the rope is very flexible. To combat these problems, I set up a jig and stretched the rope. I gained at least seven feet. I then tied knots in the rope to help griping. After the modifications were done, I would guess that the rope could hold about 350 to 400 pounds. If you purchase this hook, I would recommend doing the same, or you could get a different rope for it. Just the hook is worth $20.00.

I just got this item shipped to Australia, and not only did it come a week early, but it is one of the most fantastic things i've ever owned, The only trouble I have is getting a grip, so I tied knots in the rope every foot or so to aid with climbing. 10 Thumbs Up!

I havn't gotten a chance to use mine yet, but i can tell it's really well made. The rope is thin, and i suggest tying a knot at the end because the black rope cover slides down. It is like black rope wrapped around white rope. I found the best knot to tie the rope to the hook is a Figure 8 climbing knot.
